The laboratory will consist of qualitative analysis of cat ions and anions and the synthesis of some specific compounds. The course also meets the general education requirements for a laboratory science. Lectures and laboratory methods will focus on synthesis, isolation, purification, elucidation and identification of organic structures as well as instrumental methods and data interpretation. The content includes thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, coordination compounds, nuclear chemistry, and organic chemistry.
